Other unreported effects of Flagyl

I stopped the Flagyl yesterday on my 6th day of the 7 day course specified by the doctor. The reason being, I have completely lost my appetite, I have become extremely groggy and extremely dry skinned. The last one is not reported anywhere. The dryness is so much so that I cannot even open my eyes, for it feels like there is something in my both eyes and they are red.

There must be a better way to deal with this and must be other medications for parasites. I am not inclined to go for Flagyl again. May be the dosage also was too much. Coming to the dosage, I am reminded of how my mother and father died.

While my mother died due to extremly high doses of Malaria medication (Chloroquin) prescribed by a doctor in Mangalore for her Plasmodium Vivax, my father was killed by the ruthless doctors (Main  one was a Professor in Ramayya College) of Bangalore by prescribing 14 medications simultaneously at one time, including medications for his supposed heart problem (which he never had!). All he had was, Giardia and heartburn! The dumb doctors could not even recognize the fact that when he had the chest pains, he had no shortness of breath, and he climed stairs to the doctor's office! There is no malpractice laws, no justice system to protect the rights of the patients there. And, with most doctors there, you cannot even ask questions!

Sorry, I digressed from Flagyl! Flagyl effect made me think how my parents might have felt while dying due to overdoses in the hands of the incompetent doctors!
